Clean Shouldn't Have a Smell
If you've ever had me in your home for a quote, you've probably heard me say it: clean shouldn't have a smell. It's one of the things I'm most passionate about in this business, so I want to explain what I mean.
We've been taught that clean smells like something.
Think about the last time you walked into a freshly cleaned room. Chances are you expected a scent: lemon, pine, "fresh linen," "ocean breeze." That isn't an accident. The cleaning and fragrance industries have spent millions of dollars on marketing to convince us that a strong scent means a home is clean.
But scent and clean aren't connected. A scent tells you a product was used. It doesn't tell you the dirt, grease or grime is gone. Often, fragrance is just covering up what's still there. Clean shouldn’t have a smell.

WHAT CLEAN REALLY FEELS LIKE
Real clean speaks to your other senses. It's what you see: gleaming counters, clear glass, floors without a streak. And it's how you breathe.
Dust builds up quietly over the years, along baseboards, on ceiling fans, blinds and vents, on door frames and window ledges, in the places most people never think to reach. Every time the air moves, some of it gets stirred back up into the room you're living in. When years of that dust are finally removed, clients often tell us the difference is something they can feel: the air feels lighter, fresher and less stuffy, and the whole home just feels easier to breathe in.
And then there's the feeling you get when you walk through the door and everything feels calm, fresh and cared for.
When a home is cleaned properly, deeply and thoroughly, the things that make it smell bad are removed at the source. The buildup in the corners, the residue in the drains, the grime behind the appliances. Once those are gone, there's nothing left to cover up. A truly clean home smells like nothing at all, and that's exactly the point.
WHAT "FRAGRANCE" ON A LABEL REALLY MEANS
When you see the word "fragrance" on a cleaning product, it can stand in for dozens of ingredients that don't have to be listed individually. You don't really know what you're breathing in, and neither do your kids or your pets. For anyone with allergies, asthma or scent sensitivities, those products can make a home feel worse, not better.

NOT ALL "GREEN" PRODUCTS ARE ACTUALLY GREEN
Walk down the cleaning aisle at almost any big-box store and you'll see leaves, earth tones and words like "natural" and "eco" on the labels. Many of those products are greenwashed: marketed as safe and sustainable without really being either.
The products we use are different. They're low scent, genuinely non-toxic and truly green, not just packaged to look that way. And as a bonus, they're made right here in Canada.
Our standard products do have a scent, but it's very light, so light that you probably won't even notice it by the time you get home. It isn't there to cover anything up. The clean itself does the work.
